My business was sued. What do I do?

If you’re a business owner who’s received a complaint and summons, if it’s in small claims court, you may be able to represent yourself. If it’s not, you’re gonna have 20 days and in eviction proceedings you may only have five days, in which to provide some sort of response. Which means that it’s important that you find an experienced attorney as soon as you can. And you want to gather the important documents associated with the lawsuit, to bring to talk to the attorney. The attorney will review that and talk about the facts with you and advise you as to your options and likelihood of success.
